This allows the brake to stay cool during repeated hard brakings, reducing the chance of overheating which will lower braking performance. Second, it helps to disperse dirt and debris away. Further improving performance, and reducing the chance of your brakes making that infuriating squeaking noise when braking.

Even if those benefits mean nothing to you, slotted rotors just look absolutely amazing behind the wheels. Note that these are not high-performance rotors, and are meant primarily for street use. Also, while it will take abuse for longer thanks to the slots, braking performance will remain largely the same unless you pair with high-friction brake pads, such as the StopTech Sport-series pads (prefix 309).
