The EBC RedStuff is a great option if you need new Toyota MR2 brake pads. The pads are made from synthetic fiber with enhanced ceramic particles, and the RedStuff offers a few benefits over the OEM ones.
RedStuff is a low-dust brake pad. EBC boasts a brake dust reduction of between 60 to 90 percent, meaning you don’t have to clean your wheels as often. EBC also claims it will improve your braking performance, and that it’s capable of repeated heavy braking without brake “fall-off.” Additionally, EBC claims it’s rotor-friendly and has very minimal rotor damage characteristics.
Overall, this is a great option for Toyota MR2 brake pads. RedStuff can handle up to 200 horsepower, and we recommend this for street use. However, the EBC YellowStuff may be more suitable for aggressive drivers and those planning to autocross their Toyota MR2. And the BlueStuff is the pads that EBC recommends for prolonged track use. Note that the YellowStuff and BlueStuff are high-friction pads that may shorten the lifespan of OEM rotors.
