The idea comes from the careful observation of the operating dynamics of the brake system, especially the transformation of thermal energy during use and its transfer in to the components involved in braking.
Performance technology heat sinks have been designed using two different metal elements in order to optimize the thermal insulation of the pad from the caliper and its cooling.The main body of the heatsink is made of a special thermal steel with a high degree of heat conductivity.
The material is first laser cut and then CNC machined in house in Performance Technologies machining centers.
The slots have the purpose of reducing the contact surface and also to let the hot air formed inside the piston cavity out, reducing the effect of a hot chamber and the propagation of heat in the piston and also to the oil.
The main body of the steel heat sink is connected to a light alloy heat sink made of a special aluminum with high thermal conductivity, which has the task of helping the heat dissipation process.
