OEM flywheel bolts will occasionally snap when subjected to much higher than factory torque levels, clutch-kicking, drag strip launches, and general hooning. Certain engine builds, 7AG hybrid engines, require swapping to ARP as the 6 bolt crankshaft does offer enough real estate when dealing with the greater torque of a modified head, resulting in sheared flywheel bolts.
